Nursery Tour
I've been meaning to do this for a while but the time was never right until now.
Well just to give you a little insight on Valentino's room, we decided early on that we wanted him to have plenty of "baby proof" space to play and be active in. The rest of the house is semi-safe but in his room he has complete access to every thing. We took a minimal approach to decorating and wanted to have the room be clean and clutter-free. I think we accomplished this and I am happy with how things turned out. He has books, blocks, flashcards and stuffed toys to keep him entertained. We spend a lot of time reading, building with blocks (he likes the part where he drops them all to the floor) and fooling around.
I have been using some Montessori methods for Valentino at home. He has opportunities to explore, discover and re-discover things in his room. I keep his toys and books fresh within our means by switching things around, hiding old toys and brining out "new" toys he forgot about and every now and then we will buy a new book or something to challenge him with. He knows how to use his hair brush and his toothbrush now. This room is on the second floor and it is full of beautiful light. It was the only room in the house which was painted with our color choice before we moved in here. (It was PINK before!) We chose Muslin White which is the perfect color for the feel we wanted; minimal and airy.
Valentino loves his room, he is happy and has familiarized himself with every corner of it.

I love Valentinos little room, all with amazing little thiings that make a history of each special thing. Valentino is a very lucky baby. He has many family members and love in his life.
